Stats of The Day

OKC/Memphis and Boston/Miami Game 4s
129/147, 88% combined from the line.  Not the most exciting stat, but you would hard pressed to find another night with three throw shooting as good as this.

Game 4 Celtics vs. Heat
Kevin Garnett 1-10 for 7 points.  If he went 3/10 Celtics win.
1.  Amount of shots Garnett took from the post.  Game 3 he was 5/9 from the post with 10 points.
4.  Number of steps Lebron took to take a 2 point lead with 48 second left in regulation.  Step, hop step (equals two steps), step, lay up.  This is NBA so they will give him the original step while picking up the ball.  3 huge steps at the very least.  Once he had his feet set after taking two steps and took another should of been a whistle.  Straight from the NBA rule book about hop steps.
An offensive player may end his dribble by alighting off of one foot and landing simultaneously on both feet. The offensive player on this play gathers the ball, alights from his right foot, and then lands with both feet simultaneously on the floor. Note that at this point, the player may not pivot; if he lifts either foot, the ball must be released prior to that foot returning to the floor.
Should of been easiest call of the night.

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat
Glen "Big Baby" Davis 5/17, 29% shooting for 14 points.  Hard to imagine, but he is playing even worse then the numbers say.  So much for being 6th man.

Oklahoma City vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Russell Westbrook 40/98, 40% shooting,  for 119 points.
Kevin Durant 38/83, 46% shooting, for 116 points.
Russel Westbrook 0/4 in playoffs with shots to tie or take the lead in the final 10 seconds of the 4th quarter or overtime.  He has taken the most shots in these situations of anybody in the playoffs.  With Durant on your team this makes no sense.

OKC is taking a turn for the worse.  Durant has stopped moving off ball as he no longer even expects to get a pass from Westbrook.  He is obviously the more efficient scorer and should have the ball in his hands.  The blame goes to Westbrook, who should know Durant will always be the #1 for the rest of his career, and OKC coach, Scott Brooks, as he should be taking control of the situation and getting Durant more shots.

And the picture of the day is KG screening Ray Allen instead of coming up to run a pick and roll with Pierce on the last play of regulation.  This ends up leaving Pierce with no options but to heave up a contested fade away with Lebron all over him.
